Thrive Cash is promotional store credit, not money returned to your bank card. Members may earn it through referrals, eligible product purchases, approved reviews and other qualifying activity. The credit applies automatically to a future eligible merchandise order.

Standard Thrive Cash generally expires 30 days after it is issued, unless the terms of a specific promotion state otherwise. It cannot be used for membership fees, gift cards, taxes or shipping. Check your balance before each order instead of assuming the credit will still be available later.

Some products also carry a Buy More & Earn offer. Buying the required number of the exact same item can earn additional Thrive Cash. Different flavors do not combine, but the reward can stack with separate Thrive Cash back offered on the same eligible product.

Savings Guarantee vs. Price Guarantee

The Savings Guarantee is not an immediate membership refund. If an eligible annual member does not recover the fee through Thrive Market’s measured savings, the difference is added as Thrive Cash after renewal. The Price Guarantee is product-specific. Thrive compares against its Recurring price, or its listed retail price if no Recurring price exists, and subtracts any Thrive Cash earned on that product. The competing product must match the brand, flavor, size, color and quantity, and it must be in stock at an eligible U.S. retailer. Members must submit a claim within 30 days of ordering from Thrive Market.

The Price Guarantee is limited to $20 in Thrive Cash or 10 items per order, whichever limit is reached first. Competitor coupons, BOGO deals, rebates, shipping charges and discounts applied at checkout do not count as standard lower prices for the comparison.

Thrive Gives: Free Membership Instead of a Group Coupon

Searches for “Thrive Market student discount,” “teacher coupon” or “military promo code” can be misleading. Thrive Market’s official program works differently from a permanent percentage-off coupon.

Thrive Gives provides a free one-year membership to eligible shoppers. Its eligibility guidance lists teachers, students, veterans, nurses, first responders and families in financial need. SNAP EBT recipients may also qualify; approval still requires an application.

For an eligible shopper, removing the membership fee for a year may be worth more than a one-time coupon. Use the official Thrive Gives eligibility page to reach the application. Confirm your approval before relying on a waived fee.

Free Gifts and Free Shipping: Check the Final Cart

How Regular Free Gifts Work

Member free gifts usually require a qualifying merchandise subtotal. Membership fees, gift cards, frozen food and Fresh orders do not count toward the standard gift-with-purchase minimum. Some offers may also require a particular brand or product.

The gift must appear in your cart. If you saw an offer in an email but the gift is missing at checkout, do not assume Thrive Market will add it later. Gifts are available only while supplies last, and two gift-with-purchase promotions cannot be combined.

Check the gift-with-purchase terms for exclusions. Advertised gift values are reference retail values, which may differ from local selling prices.

Watch the Shipping Threshold

Thrive Market uses different shipping rules for grocery and frozen boxes:

• Grocery orders over $49 ship free; otherwise, shipping is $5.95.
• Frozen orders over $99 ship free; otherwise, shipping is $19.95.
• A frozen order normally requires at least $65 to check out; Thrive explicitly exempts SNAP EBT orders from that minimum.

These amounts matter because changing the cart can push an order below the free-shipping threshold. The added fee may erase part—or all—of your coupon savings.

Do not cancel the order immediately. Contact Member Services first.

The Main Catch After Your First Order: Recurring and Membership Are Separate

Your membership gives you access to Thrive Market and its member benefits. Recurring controls future deliveries of selected products. Treat shipment settings and membership renewal as separate checks, and confirm each change in your account.

Check Recurring After Your First Order

Thrive Market’s Recurring help page says new members are automatically enrolled and items from the first box are added by default.

After your first purchase, open Recurring Shipments and review:

• The products scheduled to ship again.
• The quantity of each item.
• The delivery frequency.
• The next processing date.

Thrive Market sends a reminder email before a Recurring order and adds the upcoming products to your cart four days before shipment. Because email reminders can land in spam, the company also recommends turning on SMS reminders.

Make any changes before the deadline shown in the reminder. You can remove products, change quantities, move the shipment date or turn off Recurring Shipments. Complete the confirmation steps and check that Recurring shows as turned off. Changes apply to shipments that have not processed.

Membership Cancellation Is Separate

Stopping Recurring shipments does not cancel your paid Thrive Market membership.

If you do not want another membership term, cancel the membership separately before its renewal date. California residents can manage cancellation in Account Settings. Thrive Market directs members in other states to its cancellation assistant through the official membership-cancellation page.

Using Thrive Market With SNAP EBT

Thrive Market accepts SNAP EBT for eligible food. SNAP benefits cannot pay membership fees, shipping charges or nonfood products. If part of an order is not SNAP-eligible, you will need another payment method for the remaining amount.

The SNAP EBT membership guidance says recipients may qualify for Thrive Gives. Complete the application and confirm approval.

Scheduled Recurring orders require one additional step. SNAP EBT cannot pay for them directly, but Thrive Market provides a Ship Now option that changes the upcoming basket into a one-time purchase. Eligible foods can then be paid for with SNAP EBT, while products enrolled in Recurring keep their Recurring discount.
